This blend is fruity and sweet. This is a blend of two stunning coffees from Ethiopia. The coffees of Ethiopia are famous for their complexity and intensity, which is due to the great biodiversity found amongst its coffee trees. High elevations and nutrient rich soil make Ethiopia an ideal coffee growing region.

This blend combines a washed and an unwashed coffee. The washed coffee brings the brightness and sweetness and the unwashed coffee adds complexity and fruitiness.

Bona Zuria (Washed - Bona Zuria, Bense, Sidamo)

Bona Zuria Washing Station sits at a staggering average altitude of 2,000 to 2,330 meters above sea level. These extraordinary altitudes were previously unsuitable for coffee production, but with recent changes in temperature due to climate change, the area is now an ideal location for high quality coffee cultivation. These ideal conditions help to create sweet, dense coffee fruit.

Alo Kebelle (Unwashed - Bembe Village, Bense, Sidamo)

Tamiru Tadesse founded Alo Coffee in 2020. He chose to operate in the Bense Region due to its high altitude and potential for specialty coffee production. This coffee is made up of small lots from local farmers. It is processed naturally, which means the cherries are hand-picked when ripe and placed directly onto raised drying beds. This process enables the coffee fruit to have a greater influence on the flavour of the coffee bean.
